The latest Stockport Community Cycling Club ride saw us off along the Middlewood Way on an overcast and quite cold day. The Middlewood Way is an old railway line between Marple and Macclesfield.

  

The first few miles are deceptive since it is a gradual climb to Higher Poynton.

Then it is on to Bollington.

Coffee break was at Tesco in Macclesfield.

  

The return journey saw us following the Macclesfield Canal.

Sadly it was at this point that we also had a couple of punctures.

  

In total we cycled 21 miles, quite an achievement for some of our newer riders. Though it was quite a cold day it was still enjoyable to be out on the bike.
