Coast and Castles South Day 5. Today, was another fantastic day. The weather was fabulous and the scenery was very green and stunning!

We set off from the Plough Hotel in Yetholm and cycled to Kelso where we had a look around the old Abbey there.

We then continued on following NCN Route 1, there was a slight detour due to a road being closed.

We made our way to Melrose where we stopped for lunch.

Part of the group went round Melrose Abbey and some of us looked around Priorwood Garden.

We then stopped for ice cream before finally setting off again and making our way to Innerleithen.

We were staying at The Bike Lodge in Innerleithen.

Right next door there was an award winning ice cream parlour, so we just had to sample some of their wares – fabulous they were as well!

Today we had cycled 43 miles and climbed about 2500 feet. Another very enjoyable day.
