A week has gone now since we finished our epic 950 mile cycle tour from John o’Groats to Land’s End. It seems a long time ago already and yet the memories are thankfully still fresh. So …time for some JOGLE reflections perhaps. Let’s start with one of the disappointments – and there weren’t too many of those. Just after 4pm on Sunday 28th June 2015 we reached Land’s End and completed our 950 mile JOGLE cycle journey. Before that JOGLE Day 16 had been another of those days of two halves. All being well this time next week we should be just arriving in John o’Groats in preparation for our JOGLE Grand Depart on the morning of Saturday 13th June. Ahead will be nearly 1000 miles of cycling. In the meantime we are busy making final preparations. There;s getting the bikes ready, arranging picking up the van, making our packing lists, purchasing some of the food in advance …and even getting in a few last minute training rides. E2E Day 1. Land’s End Youth Hostel is a lovely house nestling just outside St Just, and the journey to it had been mainly sunny. Today however was a different matter. We were greeted by a misty morning at Land’s End itself. After that it was a constant drizzle throughout the day and sadly as a result the views were minimal. At least the wind was behind us all day and the temperatures fine, and we were thankful for that….
