Carr Wood and Bramhall Hall – Sarah’s Birthday Walk

Carr Wood and Bramhall Hall – Sarah’s Birthday Walk

Normally for our birthdays, Sarah and I organise an away-day somewhere (last year we stayed in Bakewell). However, with the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, it seemed more appropriate to stay at home. There weren’t too many rooms available and none seemed to grab our imagination. So … stay at home we did. Sarah wanted a relaxing day anyway, and a gentle walk around Carr Wood seemed ideal. SCCC Ride to Lymm

SCCC Ride to Lymm

However we decided to cycle to the starting point. Our route took us out through Cheadle (where we caught up with another member from the club), Gatley, Wythenshawe and Timperley. By the time we reached the official start point we had cycled 11 miles. The club ride route followed out along the Transpennine Trail…
