High Legh 2022

High Legh 2022

Our High Legh 2022 cycle ride began with Stockport Community Cycling Club riders meeting at Gatley station, before setting off through the streets of Gatley. It was a cool Autumn morning. Today I was leading this ride. Upon joining St Anne’s Road North and heading towards Heald Green, we picked up NCN Route 558. Then, when joining Styal Road we began following Local Route 85, the Airport Orbital Cycleway. This took us around the perimeter of Manchester Airport. Including through…

Little Bollington

Little Bollington

We were back to the colder weather as winter draws to a close. Sarah had once again been out for a long-run and we considered not cycling. In the end, we were glad we did. Gill was the ride leader for the first group. While I have often led the second group when needed, I allocated the responsibility to Andy S on this occasion. The photos that follow, therefore, are taken with this second group. Sarah, unfortunately, couldn’t join us. She needed to travel for work reasons. It was a…

Lymm 2018

Lymm 2018

The Lymm 2018 cycle ride had originally been scheduled in the Stockport Community Cycling Club ride calendar for a couple of weeks ago.  Unfortunately, original iteration had been cancelled due to bad weather and rescheduled for this weekend instead. Not that the predicted weather for this weekend was much better. So, it was that twenty-two club members turned up at the Atlantic Street car park on a freezing cold and breezy Saturday morning. I was the back-leader today. Gill was leading the…
