For those of a certain age, you will remember The Prisoner, which was filmed in Portmeirion. This was our Tuesday destination. The weather was awful – wet and windy – but we went anyway!

We wandered around for a while looking at all the buildings.

However we were soon starting to feel miserable – cold and wet! We found a restaurant in the centre of the village, so stopped for some homemade soup and a nice cup of tea which helped warm us up!

Thankfully it stopped raining while we were in the restaurant, so we decided to venture into the woods and explore some of the paths there.

We stopped in a little shelter in the woods and ate our sandwiches.

After our lunch we continued our walk back to the village.

Portmeirion is such a great place, we had a great time and will certainly go back again.
