Coniston 14

Coniston 14

The weather forecast was fine and favourable when Sarah and I arrived in Coniston. We were preparing for Sarah and some of her Viaduct Fitness colleagues to run the Coniston 14 race the following day. We were staying at The Sun Hotel. This was just a few minutes away from the village centre. We had endured a long and tiring journey to get to Coniston. So, Sarah, Sharron (who had followed us up) and I, immediately headed down to Coniston…

St Cuthbert’s Way Day 1 – Melrose to Newton St Boswells

St Cuthbert’s Way Day 1 – Melrose to Newton St Boswells

Conwy Half Marathon 2019

Conwy Half Marathon 2019

Conwy was the first half marathon that Sarah and I ever ran, back in 2013. It has continued to prove a favourite with Sarah ever since (and it would be for me too if my foot was up to it). As mentioned, my problematic foot doesn’t hold up long…

Finally, Sarah took the plunge and entered the Manchester Half Marathon as part of her preparations to run next years Manchester Marathon. We previously ran the Greater Manchester Marathon 2015, and Sarah wants another attempt. Madness! 🙂 Both this half marathon and the marathon are organised by the same…

Southport Mad Dog 10k

Southport Mad Dog 10k

We don’t write many blog posts about our running events. It’s difficult to take photos when you are running for a start! However, the Southport Mad Dog 10k is certainly worthy of one. This year was the third time we have participated in the event. For Sarah and I, it is a date in our running calendar we always look forward to. It is possibly our favourite running event. It’s popular with lots of others too, for it fills up…
